El Madroñal, nestled in the mountainside next to Benahavís and overlooking San Pedro de Alcántara, is well known for being one of the most natural settings on the Costa del Sol . The area is famed for being very green and maintaining its Spanish rural setting. The area offers the perfect combination of feeling like you’re in a natural paradise, but is just a short drive from the modern beach towns of Marbella, San Pedro and Puerto Banús.
El Madroñal is one of the safest places on the Costa, as the urbanisation is located inside a gated community, with cork oaks and pine trees planted all around. The density of buildings inside the community is extremely low, therefore providing more green and natural areas. The urbanisation itself sits on the road upto the Spanish town of Ronda.
The community is built up mostly by large villas on large plots, surrounded by gardens. Many of them are built in rustic style and traditional Andalusian architecture. Modern villas can also be found within the community.
Los Halcones shopping centre is next to Los Arqueros, just a short drive from El Madroñal. Inside the centre there is a supermarket as well as smaller shops and several restaurants.
